The introduction
Richard finally convinced me to come along on one of his trout fishing expeditions. He was worried how I would cope with the heat and no shade. I ended up worry how I would cope with the disorganisation.
This was the intro to the Snowys which I've since become obsessed about hiking in.
It started with camping at mosquito swamp night near Oglivies Creek.
Things got better when I was introduced to Paton's Hut.
We spent a night or two at the old Tooma River campsite
We went for a long drive around the snowys ending up on the Tantangara where it joins the Murrumbidgee River.
Then we went for a couple of nights on the Tumut going past Round Mountain hut (which later burnt down)
A great trip - I would come back!
